An important design mandate was to situate the house to capture both the distant deep water views as well as the meandering shoreline while maintaining a comfortable physical convenience to the lake and boathouseInteriors by Terry Duffy Landscape by E. Graham Pittman
An escape to the beach means for most people being able to live in a way completely and gloriously different from the way in which they live day to day. Our classically simple beach house is a study in serenity. Porches & balconies wrap the house extending the living area into the walled garden or offering views to the shore and & to the sea’s horizon beyond.
The home draws on local building materials with a ‘Southern Flair’ for the second generation of owners of Blackberry Farm, Sam and Mary Celeste Beall.
This sweet Craftsman Cottage was built in the early 1920’s. The house desperately needed to function better for today’s more casual lifestyles. Better access to the garden was created from the house to a beautiful courtyard garden. An old two story carriage was redone with a wonderful guest suite above.

One of Atlanta’s most beloved residential landmarks, the house was designed in 1936 for the Nunnally family. Unfortunately after working on a year-long renovation in 2000, a fire damaged the house disastrously. We are proud recipients’ of The Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America’s 2009 Philip Trammell Shutze Award Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Interiors by Carole Weaks.
This family retreat designed for Kries and Sandy Beall for a wonderful weekend getaway on Brays Island. The home, which we renovated, lacked views to the beautiful marsh and circulation and flow. This low country home lacked character and was brought to life with appropriate details.
“There is not a room in the house that doesn’t take advantage of the beauty. We love it.”
