This early 1900’s southern Bungalow, located in a historic neighborhood of Chattanooga Tennessee, is located on a beautiful lot with stunning views of the mountains of Chattanooga.

There’s absolutely nothing more rewarding than being asked to design a residence by the same client three times! That’s exactly what this Norman country house represents.

An escape to the beach means for most people being able to live in a way completely and gloriously different from the way in which they live day to day. Our classically simple beach house is a study in serenity. Porches & balconies wrap the house extending the living area into the walled garden or offering views to the shore and & to the sea’s horizon beyond.

Sam & Mary Celeste Beall home – as featured in Architectural Digest “In the Vernacular” November 2012 also, featured in Suzanne Kasler Timeless Style by Rizzoli Books The home draws on local building materials with a ‘Southern Flair’ for the second generation of owners of Blackberry Farm, Sam and Mary Celeste Beall.

Featured in Southern Home Magazine “Readjusted Refinements” This sweet Craftsman Cottage was built in the early 1920’s. The house desperately needed to function better for today’s more casual lifestyles. Better access to the garden was created from the house to a beautiful courtyard garden. An old two story carriage was redone with a wonderful guest suite above. Interiors by Teri Duffy Landscape by E. Graham Pittman

Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazine as one of the “20 most Beautiful homes”. Stately and beautifully situated on a rising lawn set well back from the street, this classical revival house was built in the early 1930’s. Our program was to reintegrate house & gardens in terms of circulation, access & lines of sight. Secondly, interiors were returned to a classical simplicity both in plan & enable it to be used & enjoyed by a modern family. Interiors by Nancy Izlar Landscape E. Graham Pittman

Featured Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles “Jewel Box Beauty” At the time it came into the hands of its new owners, the rich Colonial Revival Style exterior had survived relatively intact, but the interiors had suffered many & varied insensitive renovations. Based on our experience, after discovering the extent of the issues the condition of the house exhibited, most new owners would have opted to raze the house & build anew. Interiors by Suzanne Kasler Landscape by E. Graham Pittman

As featured in Veranda Magazine “Grandeur Restored” &“Pedigree of Place” One of Atlanta’s most beloved residential landmarks, the house was designed in 1936 for the Nunnally family. Unfortunately after working on a year-long renovation in 2000, a fire damaged the house disastrously. We are proud recipients’ of The Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America’s 2009 Philip Trammell Shutze Award Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Interiors by Carole Weaks.

Now for a sneak peek at our most recent houses, in the final touches! Its such an exciting process for our clients to see the house finally come to life and envision themselves and their furniture in it – once the paint dries!

As featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles “Country Idol” proud recipient of The Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America’s 2010 Philip Trammell Shutze Award Built in the vernacular Greek Revival style, this handsome raised cottage was constructed in 1852. The area where the house was located had become a populous residential and business suburb, therefore it was decided that if it were to be saved, would have to be moved to another location.

This Mediterranean stucco house with barrel tile roof is reminiscent of the villas of Montecito California or Palm Beach Florida. The first floor features a spacious kitchen and family room; family and friends are able to mingle comfortably and to enjoy an easy access to the screened porch, loggia and pool terrace. A main floor master suite is a convenient and private retreat. A Pool House mirrors the loggia and overlooks the garden beyond. Landscape by John Howard, Howard Design Studio
