Morningside Restoration
The dignified Regency villa had determinedly presided over its two-lot site for nearly eighty years. Following the death of the original owner, developers began eying the property for development. Happily, new owners who appreciated the importance of the house and its property in the neighborhood appeared and began a three year process of planning & executing restorations & careful additions to the house and grounds. Additions included not only family room and screened porch, but also a delightful semi-detached story-and-a half library pavilion. Often, people new to this old neighborhood of Tudor cottages and arts and crafts bungalows, exclaimed with delight upon discovering this unexpected and charming classical house.
