As featured in the November-December 2001 Edition of Veranda ,this 1920’s home was restored as closely as possible to its original grandeur while also accommodating a growing family. Innovative ideas gave way to a more functional home without giving up its character.

The basement turned into a cozy gentleman’s lounge with a wine cellar and built-in humidor. A new dormer tucked into the valleys of the existing roof created an office. On the main level, the den maintains its original paneling. The enclosed porch was renovated into a sitting room with a bar. A screened porch was added, which overlooks a rock-trimmed swimming pool with waterfall. The screened porch features fieldstone and old-plank floor and antique chestnut ceiling beams. Bathrooms feature original tile and fixtures. Innovative design and meticulous skill were needed to make everything look as original as possible.
