RICK SPITZMILLER

Rick Spitzmiller, a native of Columbus Georgia, received a Master’s degree from the University of Virginia School of Architecture. While at the university, he received the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship and among those students selected to study abroad at the prestigious Centro Internazionale di Architettura Andrea Palladio in Vecenza, Italy. Following school, he worked for the Historic Savannah Foundation as Architectural Consultant. In 1985, Rick, along with Robert Norris, established Spitzmiller and Norris, Inc. An avid preservationist, Rick has worked with and long helped support the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation serving a term on the Board of Governors for Historic Rhodes Hall. Other organizations that are dear to his heart include the Atlanta Opera, Project Open Hand, AID Atlanta and P.A.L.S. (Pets are Loving Support).
     
     
  ROBERT NORRIS

Robert, from Atlanta, Georgia, received his degree in Architecture, with honors, from Southern Institute of Technology. Before founding Spitzsmiller & Norris, he worked as a consultant as well for a Residential Developer. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, recognized by Who’s Who in America, Atlanta Preservation Center, Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, National Trust for preservation, and like Rick he supports the High Museum of Art. Robert is an avid gardener and a member of the Atlanta Botanical Garden; his garden was featured in the Atlanta Botanical garden Connoisseurs Tour. Robert’s award-winning talent in the designing the interior living spaces in their homes is unsurpassed.
